What Is Camp Camp Bestival Like?

I think it's important for kids of all ages to experience all sorts of different holidays and taking them to festivals is all part of a learning experience for them. When the older kids were little, I took Bethany to Glastonbury, I was surprised at how family orientated they were. Now festivals are getting more popular and they get the whole family involved. One festival is Camp Bestival. Camp Bestival is running from 27th - 30th July this year and It is the perfect way to end the school year. A family holiday and festival to go with it.

It is set in the beautiful grounds of Lulworth Castle on the devon coast and it is jam-packed with entertainment, fabulous music, kids activities like learning circus skills or a soft play area and go-carts. There really is something for people of all ages at Camp Bestival. The music line-up is put together with the talents of Rob Da Bank. This year there will be music from Holly Johnson, Madness, Mark Ronson and All saints amongst many other acts. There will be shows from all of the family favourites like Dick and Dom (Every time I say their name, I want to shout BOGIES!) and Mr Tumble as well as School Of Rock - The Musical. So it doesn't matter if your child is 2 or 22 - they will have the same amount of fun.

The camping is open from the Thursday before the festival starts and you have a few different options for camping too. There is the Camping Plus field where you get to pre-book a nice pitch and you can make sure that your family is all staying close to each other. The Backstage VIP Camping is placed just behind the main stage and you get to use walk-in showers, Use the VIP tent and many other little extra's. This is available at an extra fee. You can even stay in one of their tipis, yurts or tents, this will save you taking all of your own camping bits and ensure you stay in complete comfort.
